Dear Backers,
We know it sucks. We promised you a delivery in February and many of you still haven't received your Mantalon. When starting this marvelous adventure and setting our delivery dates back in November, we weren't quite expecting the world wide complications we are suffering from these days. Although after the couple of years we have behind us we probably could have anticipated that we hadn't seen the last of it. On top of the raw material crisis and other delays we explained in our last update, we’ve had several setbacks with deliveries. For over a week there has been a transportation services strike in Spain which has prevented timely deliveries. Even giant DANONE had to close down production because they are not receiving their milk.
So, what does this mean? First of all, we don't want to sound like we’re making up excuses, we’re committed to delivering a product that you’ll love. Of course we have some good news, too. All Mantalons that were made from our first order of fabrics have been shipped! We are very glad to have secured our raw materials before the crisis got worse which has enabled us to continue with our production and even increase the speed to 300 Mantalons per week.
We promise we are doing everything in our power to get the Mantalons out into every corner of the world from where you ordered them as fast as possible. In the name of transparency we admit that with all the aforementioned struggles the last Mantalons will be shipped in the last week of April/first week of May. The last ones, so many of you will hopefully receive it in the next days or weeks.
Thank you again for your incredible trust, support and patience. It's not easy but we are making it work. Without you we wouldn't even exist.

This is it! We’re finally ready to start shipping!
After experiencing some challenges during production and letting you wait longer than promised we are so relieved to arrive at this point. We want to be fully transparent with you: our most important mission is to deliver a perfect product from the beginning and we prioritized this over a timely delivery. We hope you agree with this. Let's take you through some of the challenges we faced in the last two months:
We are obsessed with our product and we are committed to delivering a perfect piece to you, our faithful supporters, in hope that your Mantalon will grow with you throughout your life. Aside from these issues being common to any startup, we would like to offer our most sincere apologies for the delay as we understand you are as desperate as we are to receive your Mantalons.
The good news is, we are now 100% happy with the result and are confident you will be, too. Thank you for all your patience and encouraging messages in the meantime, we believe it is safe to say we have the best backers in the world ;)
Now back to business:
We will be locking shipping addresses soon. That means you have 48h to update your shipping address (in case it changed since January) in your BackerKit survey.

If you haven’t answered your survey yet, you can still fill it out to get your rewards, but your shipment may be delayed.
Shipping is rolling out this week so depending on where in the world you live and when you placed your order, Mantalon will be at your doorstep soon. We will also include a little Thank You surprise in each package. Can't wait!!

We have super exciting news: today, we are starting production for the first 700 Mantalons. Wow, what a number already! Thank you for responding to our survey so fast, so we could make the order within a week.
The last day to make final changes to your order is January 15th. After this date, we will lock your reward selections and charge cards for add-on item purchases, pledge upgrades, and pre-orders. You can update your shipping address up until we lock addresses for shipping.
If you haven’t answered your survey yet, if you fill out your BackerKit survey or pay for extra shipping after the order due date on January 15, we’ll still receive your information but your shipment may be delayed.
